Plan Ahead Events & Decor has a beautiful new showroom in Durban North, reflecting its growth to offer decor hire alongside event planning and management. While Owner Megan Kahn lives and breathes events, she has a much broader understanding of the hospitality industry, having worked at various Durban hotels and a tour operating company. Marriage took her to Joburg, where she needed to do something to keep her busy. After doing research, Plan Ahead Conferences were born, offering in-bound tours to Joburg and Cape Town, corporate and team-building events and year-end functions.
After her second child, she came home to Durban and Plan Ahead took on a new life as an events company.
To survive the recession which hit so many event companies after 2010, Megan again recreated her company to become Plan Ahead Events and Decor, buying in her own mostly vintage/shabby chic items.
Her company now offers everything from designing and managing invites to registration, entertainment, decor, food and beverage.
Plan Ahead is supported by an extensive network of relationships with various stakeholders in the conference, event and hospitality industry including hotels, transport, décor, technical, media and branding suppliers.
